Many critics worldwide are always found to be commenting about the dressing style of the Muslimah community women. The Islamic ladies everywhere across the world are found to be dressed in a modest manner abided by the religious values of Islam. Probably, the Muslim women were not allowed to dress beyond their religious guidelines. Till mid-2000’s, the fashion trend of the Islamic community women was confined within traditional boundaries. It was only after the increasing women empowerment, the Islamic ladies became more fashion alert and this lead to the beginning of a new muslim women fashion chic. The new fashion style that left its mark in the fashion industry was the modest fashion. Right from the mid-2000’ till the present date, Muslim designers have been redesigning the traditional dressing style of the Muslims and giving them a new appearance. They are continually exhibiting their outstanding collections in different fashion weeks held internationally.

To highlight on the Islamic fashion, the first exhibition was held at San Francisco De Young museum. The exhibition clearly revealed the change in the fashion chic of the Islamic fashion. The fashion style which was considered as a symbol of oppression once now has become the mainstream fashion worldwide. Big brands across the world are getting attracted towards the modest wear collections.

Many brands are hiring Hijabi Models to run their campaign. Dolce and Gabbana has come up with their latest collections on hijabs (headscarves) and Abayas (cloaks). Her collections combined both completeness and business. Halima Aden, one of the famous hijab models refused to remove hijab for her fashion. She is the first Muslim model who chooses to wear hijab and dress in a modest way while on the job.

The modern muslim fashion chic has attracted not just the younger generation woman of the Muslimah community, but it even attracted the women of the western countries as well. More and more western designers are even found to embrace hijab. The hijabs have undergone a great change in its style and colour in the past few years. Previously, the hijabs were boring and dull, but, the Muslim designers have added beauty and fashion to Islamic ladies hijabs by redesigning it in a new way. The hijabs have undergone changes in its draping and colour. Hijabs are now available in different patterns, fabrics and colour satisfying the requirements of modern Islamic ladies taste and fashion needs.

The Muslimah women of the present era have the opportunity to exhibit their personal style and beauty with the help of the modest fashionable attires. Hence, the muslim women fashion style reveals the diversity of fashion choice for Islamic ladies. The fashion trend has helped to replace the thinking of the westerns regarding Islamic fashion style. The fashion chic which once they considered as oppressed, today got recognition as a mainstream fashion trend in the Global fashion world.
